As a POST Community Partner, we are pleased to offer the resources of the Profiles fine art printmaking studio to all POST participants at specially reduced rates through October 11th, 2009.
At our studio we specialize in scanning artwork and creating giclée prints on watercolor paper, canvas, and fabric. For high resolution scans for printmaking, we use a Betterlight digital scanning back camera, the system used by many of the world’s most prestigious art museums. These scans generate very large digital files (150MB+) and capture every color and detail with such extraordinary depth and precision that an original can be enlarged up to 40”x60” for printmaking. For POST participants we offer this service at a very special rate of $40 per original.
Not every image requires scanning in quite such depth. If the primary purpose is to create prints no larger than 16”x20”, or promotional materials such as postcards, flyers or a digital file for a website, we offer a digital capture service using a high- resolution digital camera to generate a 30MB+ digital file. For POST participants the discounted rate for this service is $20 per original.
We also offer a special rate to POST participants for converting slides and transparencies to digital files:

All three types of scan are saved to CD as a digital file in two formats, a high-resolution master file for printing (tif format) and a low-resolution quick-upload file for web use (jpeg format). The CDs are packaged in a clear plastic case with a thumbnail reference print on the cover.

We offer a special discount of 10% off the standard prices for our proofing and printmaking services on orders received from POST participants by September 21st, 2009. Please see the Pricing page on this website for our standard rates.
